Job Summary:

The TRIO-EOC Student Representative provides administrative, outreach and student support services for the TRIO-Educational Opportunity Center. A federally funded program that assist first-generation and low-income students pursuing higher education. This work-study position supports daily office operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining confidential participant records, assisting data processes, preparing program materials and representing the program at campus and community outreach events.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Greeting and assisting students and potential clients for TRIO Educational Opportunity Center by phone and in person. Will explain intake process, describe services, and screen participants/ general public for eligibility requirements; schedule appointments; complete reminder and outreach calls & messaging; tabling for program; providing referrals to partnering sites; most importantly provide excellent customer service to diverse participants and general public.

Dependability, professionalism, and a positive work ethic
Familiarity in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well a s collaboratively within a team environment
Commitment to supporting the mission of TRIO Programs and serving low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Must be eligible for work-study.
