Job Summary:

The Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach (ARO) department is seeking to hire motivated students that have a desire to learn business operations skills while supporting the newly launched Adult High School Diploma Program. The High School Diploma program is designed to support 18+ adults who are interested in earning their high school diploma.

The Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach (ARO) department is responsible for the recruitment and onboarding of prospective and admitted students to the Community College of Denver (CCD). Staff members serve as the initial points of contact for prospective students and support college entry through event preparation and support, outbound communications (e.g., email, phone, webinars, texts, etc.), addressing inbound inquiries (e.g., email, phone, texts, etc.), and data entry activities to track recruitment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with your team members during call campaign to students to encourage onboarding completion.

Address inbound inquiries via phone/email/text (and delegated correspondence) in a timely manner.

Providing direct and indirect people services to a diverse student population.

Facilitating the preparation and outreach for recruitment and advising events.

Occasionally work evenings and Saturday mornings for special events.

Abide to FERPA rules and regulations during recruitment tasks and events.

Competencies/KSAs:

• Knowledge:
o Have a High School Diploma Certificate or equivalency.
o Have a good understanding of CCD and Auraria Campus Resources.
o General understanding about adult education experience.
o Has a passion for education and social well-being.

• Skills:
o Good email and phone etiquette.
o Collaborative skills to work well with others.

• Abilities:
o Ability to use computer software systems.
o Ability to complete tasks on a timely manner when assigned.
Ability to be reliable, punctual, conduct standards, and positive relationship-building.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of six credit hours of enrollment with CCD and an active work-study award.

Must have a Work-Study Award.

Must have SAP Eligibility.

Be currently enrolled at CCD, MSU, or CU Denver.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual English/Spanish and/or English/Arabic speaking/writing/reading

One year of event preparation experience.

One year of customer service experience.

One year of experience working with underserved/underrepresented populations.
