Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Parcel & Copy Center provides day-to-day operational leadership for parcel and copy services across multiple campuses in support of Pikes Peak State College’s mission and strategic priorities related to student success, operational excellence, and workforce development.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience supervising staff, including student employees
• Experience in operations, logistics, customer service, or related environments
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in higher education or auxiliary services
• Experience supporting multi-site operations
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered service delivery
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide daily operational oversight of parcel and copy services across campuses to ensure uninterrupted support for instructional and student-facing functions.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and mentor student employees, promoting a structured work
environment aligned with student employment learning outcomes.
• Ensure accurate, timely processing of mail, packages, and print jobs critical to instructional delivery, student services, and campus operations.
• Coordinate staffing coverage during peak academic periods, semester transitions, and
employee absences to maintain service continuity.
• Serve as a primary operational contact for faculty, staff, and vendors regarding parcel,
shipping, and print services.
• Monitor compliance with safety, security, and procedural standards to protect students,
employees, and institutional assets.
• Assist with inventory control, billing accuracy, reporting, and vendor coordination to ensure fiscal stewardship of auxiliary operations.
• Support the development and maintenance of standardized procedures and performance
metrics to promote consistency and continuous improvement.

This position ensures reliable, timely, and equitable access to essential services that directly support instruction, student learning, and campus engagement. The Assistant Manager also plays a key role in supervising and mentoring student employees, contributing to their professional development and persistence.
