Job Summary:
Help support events at the King Center by working behind the scenes and behind the controls!
Duties & Responsibilities:
The King Center serves the performing arts departments of Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver by providing support for their programs, performances, and events taking place in our venues.
Competencies/KSAs:
Working as a stagehand goes beyond learning how to operate lighting and sound equipment for performances. Our student stagehands learn teamwork, troubleshooting, event planning and execution, and many other practical skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
*FAFSA on file and all requirements complete
*Enrolled in at least 6 hours at the Community College of Denver
*Meeting SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
No experience necessary. Training will be provided as part of the job. Candidates for this job must have the ability to work evening and weekend shifts. Candidates should be self-motivated and service oriented. Ideal candidates possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Additional Information/Benefits:
Setting up venues and spaces for events and performances; operating lighting and sound control equipment during events and performances; tearing down and loading out after the conclusion of an event; general building and equipment maintenance projects as assigned.
