Job Summary:
The Business Pathway Student Associate serves as a professional representative of the Community College of Denver's Business Pathway by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support at the Business Welcome Desk in the cherry Creek Building. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and student-centered environment by assisting students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Business Pathway.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, respond to general inquiries, and provide accurate information or referrals.
Perform general clerical and administrative tasks, including filing, copying, data entry, and document preparation.
Review course syllabi for accuracy and completeness using established guidelines.
Assist Business faculty and staff with departmental projects and special assignments.
Maintain a clean and presentable organized Welcome Desk.
Monitor and restock office, classroom, and supplies as needed.
Support daily office operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned in support the Business Pathway operations.
Competencies/KSAs:
Microsoft Suite of applications.
CCD email address.
Provide Good customer service.
Friendly and attentive.
Ability to work between the hours of 8am-5pm
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered for a minimum of 6 credits of course work in an financial aid approved pathway.
Have a Work Study Award within your Financial Aid package
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered for in-person courses on the Auraria Campus, preferably in Business or Accounting.
Have superb written and verbal communication skills.
Have excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Have a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
Be a critical thinker and proactive problem-solver.
Additional Information/Benefits:
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. Demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new software and processes. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintain confidentiality (FERPA), exercise sound judgment, and contribute to a welcoming, organized, and student-centered office environment.
