Job Summary:

The faculty member functions within the mission, philosophy, and procedures of CNCC and in accordance with the policies of the Colorado Community College System. The faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and supporting student learning and success through effective teaching, assessment, advising, and engagement with students. Responsibilities include course preparation and instruction, maintaining accurate and timely student records, participating in curriculum development and assessment activities, supporting program and institutional initiatives, serving on college committees, and contributing to a collaborative academic environment. Faculty members are also expected to participate in professional development, maintain appropriate professional and disciplinary expertise, and fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The faculty member will have the following responsibilities:
1. Teaches assigned courses in accordance with approved course outlines, curriculum, and CNCC policies to provide students with an accessible, high-quality educational experience that supports student learning and success.
2. Plans and prepares effective instruction including lectures, activities, skills lab or experiential learning, assessments, and other course materials appropriate to the discipline and modality.
3. Assesses student learning through appropriate assignments, examinations, projects, and other assessment methods and provides timely, meaningful feedback to students.
4. Completes Course Assessment Reports (CARs) each semester for assigned courses, including the assessment of student learning outcomes and identification of areas for improvement, in accordance with CNCC assessment processes and established deadlines.
5. Maintains accurate and timely student records, including attendance, grades, assessment results, and other required documentation in accordance with CNCC and Colorado Community College System policies.
6. Provides academic support and guidance to students, including maintaining appropriate office hours, responding to student inquiries, referring students to appropriate support services, and contributing to student retention and success.
7. Participates in curriculum development, review, and revision in collaboration with faculty and academic leadership to ensure courses remain current, relevant, and aligned with student, workforce, and community needs.
8. Participates in department, division, and college activities, including faculty meetings, committee assignments, college events, and other institutional initiatives as appropriate.
9. Engages in ongoing professional development and maintains current knowledge, skills, credentials, and/or licensure required for the assigned discipline and courses.
10. Collaborates with faculty, staff, administration, and community or industry partners to support student learning, program effectiveness, and the mission of CNCC.
11. Utilizes appropriate instructional technology and digital learning resources to enhance teaching and learning and support student engagement across instructional modalities.
12. Attends required advisory board meetings once per semester, as applicable to the faculty member's program or discipline, and contributes to discussions regarding curriculum, workforce needs, and student preparation.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Allied Health, Dean of Academics, and/or Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Secondary Duties:
1. Faculty members are expected to attend faculty meetings.
2. Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by clinical and compliance with deadlines.
3. Travel will be required for most radiologic technology clinical sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
This job requires any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and/or experience as indicated below:
1. Education and Training:
a. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a. Registered and in good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
3. Prior Related Experience:
a. Two (2) years’ experience as a registered radiographic technologist in clinical radiography care.
4. Equipment Skills:
a. Necessary equipment for radiologic technology teaching
b. Computer/printer
c. Telephone/answering machine
5. Other Qualifications:
a. Good oral and written communication skills
b. Ability to work with confidential matters
c. Good interpersonal skills.
d. Good organizational skills.
e. Work effectively with colleagues and students by practicing punctuality, respect for deadlines, collaborative problem-solving, and honest communication.

h. Current Immunizations, including flu vaccinations.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Licensure/Certification:
a. Registered and in good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
2. Prior Related Experience:
a. 5+ years of experience in the industry.
b. Teaching experience at the community college level.
3. Education and Training:
a. Master’s degree in a radiology and/or a related field.
