Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager supports the mission and goals of the College and the Human Resources department. This position oversees accurate and timely end to end monthly and biweekly payroll cycles. Human Resources liaison between college and CCC system payroll teams. Manages all new hire processing, employee status and compensation changes, backend benefit and leave data entries, and compliance requirements. Oversee data management including entry, auditing and reporting for faculty, staff, and students at the college. Identifies opportunities to strengthen internal controls, improve processes, increase efficiency, and support consistent, compliant HR operations. Supervises one classified staff team member.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in HR, new hire processing, data entry, reporting, or closely related experience.
  • One (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to find other’s errors.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary

Starting salary range for this position is $73,241 - $80,566 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
