Job Summary:
Applicants with an interest in Colorado history, state government, politics, etc., who enjoy working with the public are encouraged to apply for a work-study position at the State Capitol!
Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary function of Visitors Services is to provide nonpartisan information and resources to the general public, as well as encourage civic engagement. This includes sharing relevant history and information about the building, as well as legislative information that takes place in the State Capitol.
Capitol guides are responsible for leading tours, staffing the gift desk, museum, and dome observation area, providing visitors with informational services, and some light clerical work.
Competencies/KSAs:
Ability to adapt and be flexible.
Good communication skills and those who aren't afraid to ask for help.
Minimum Qualifications:
Be financial aid eligible, which includes having a complete FA file, meeting SAP and enrolled 6 hours+ towards degree.
