Job Summary:

Experience the joy and dedication of working with children, ages 1-5 years old. Have the opportunity to gain hands on experience growing your teaching skills and being part of a supportive team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Interacting with children 1-5 years old
-Helping with diapering, if needed
-Helping with mealtime set up and clean up
-Supporting the lead teacher in the classroom
-Helping to supervise children in the classroom

Competencies/KSAs:

The Early Learning Center is an opportunity to provide a pathway for Early Childhood and Elementary School Educators. Working at the ELC provides employees experience hours as well as the opportunity to grow their teaching skills. Teacher Aides assist with the overall operation of the classrooms, supporting the Assistant and Supervising Teachers with instructional activities. Teacher aides will also be engaging and interacting with children. Willingness to work directly with 1-5 yr olds.

Minimum Qualifications:

Be financial aid eligible, which includes having a complete FA file, meeting SAP and enrolled 6 hours+ towards degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred, but not required:

*Ideally, 200 hours minimum prior experience working with children in a group care setting and one post-high school course in child development.
*Highly preferred to have completed ECE 101 and ECE 103.

Temporary Hourly: Engineering Lab Assistant - Science, Engineering, and Math Division

The Science, Engineering, and Math Division serves a wide-ranging student population, from students currently in high school to adult learners returning to education after many years. Our division strives to assist all students and visitors who call or come into our office. The Engineering Lab Assistant helps PPSC engineering instructors prepare for, conduct, and clean up after engineering design labs. A workload of up to 20 hours per week is anticipated. This work will take place at both the Centennial and Rampart campuses. Because this work directly supports scheduled engineering labs, the student must be on-campus, in the lab classroom prior to, during and immediately following the lab. Other support activities will be necessary and can be performed at times convenient to the Lab Assistant and the faculty.  Ability to work evenings and travel to multiple campuses to support student and department needs. This position is temporary part-time, not to exceed 28 hours per week.
