We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, dedicated individual who will lead and implement LCC’s strategic plan.

 

Job Summary:

LCC is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Soccer Coach to join our women's team and mentor our student-athletes. This position is a part-time, year-round assistant soccer coaching position. The right candidate for this job will be enthusiastic and will be ready to contribute to the growth and success of the team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to recruit student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Region IX and LCC rules and regulations including official and unofficial recruiting visits and admissions procedures
  2. Support retention of student-athletes
  3. Monitor and report academic progress of team members
  4. Prepare and maintain gymnasium
  5. Assist with practices
  6. Attend and assist at all scheduled games and team events
  7. Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times while serving as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
  8. Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position
  9. Other duties as assigned by the Women's Head Soccer Coach

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or euqivelant combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience playing soccer at a collegiate level
  • Ability to work varied schedule
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Disciplined to work productively with minimal supervision with a strong can-do attitude and an ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with superiors, peers and students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
  • Previous experience as a soccer coach or assistant coach at some level
  • Previous experience recruiting soccer players

Mental Health Counselor (part-time)

The Mental Health Counselor will provide and coordinate mental health services for students enrolled at Lamar Community College. The Mental Health Counselor will work collaboratively with other offices on campus to develop systems and programs that are particularly, but not exclusively, supportive of students who are first generation, low income, and/or students of color. This person will provide a wide range of counseling services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, consultation, and training that emphasize students’ resilience and other skills and capacities that have brought them to Lamar Community College. The Mental Health Counselor will model excellent boundary establishment and maintenance, strict adherence to confidentiality, and a commitment to operation an ethically driven mental health practice. They will be clinically supervised by the Mental Health Development Supervisor and as such will participate in the larger Rural College Consortium Mental Health Development Project Team, regularly interfacing with other Mental Health Counselors at sister institutions.
