As First Year Experience Coordinator/Recruiter, you'll own both sides of that journey: bringing students through the door and making sure they find their footing once they arrive.
Your Scope and Responsibilities
- Drive recruitment activity across the Rangely region — visiting high schools, attending community events, and building lasting relationships with prospective students and their families
- Design and coordinate new student orientation and first year programming that builds confidence, community, and a clear path forward
- Monitor early-alert signals and proactively connect at-risk first year students with the right support services
- Collaborate with faculty, advising, and Student Affairs colleagues to create a cohesive transition experience from inquiry through to second semester
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Associates degree, or experience in education, counseling, or a closely related field
- Providing outstanding customer service and an interest in helping students reach their potential especially in recruitment, first year programs, or college transition support
- A genuine interest in helping prospective students navigate college for the first time
- Strong communication skills across in-person, digital, and community settings — including confidence presenting to groups
- Ability to manage competing priorities across a full recruitment and academic calendar without dropping the ball on either
- Understanding of the unique needs of students served by rural community colleges in Colorado
