Salary Range: $60,500 and up to 5% higher depending on education and experience.
Job Summary:
The Business and Accounting Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering student success by advising both new and continuing students. This includes career planning and providing necessary resources to support students in achieving their educational and career goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
• Manages VE135 reporting and student contacts to meet campus requirements.
• Utilizes information from IR to request new data for reports, reviews and approvals.
• Assists with annual program reviews.
• Provides student advising and registration for new and continuing students
• Tracks student progress and completes graduation planning and review opportunities.
• Increases awareness and support Department Chair with college bachelor opportunities.
• Assists with the planning and execution program specific events.
• Serves as a liaison between department chairs and students:
o Assisting with assessment of student learning awareness and supporting increased participation of adjunct instructors.
o Maintain a departmental template and resource library for generic communication and processes for students and advisory members
o Distribute departmental communication to all necessary parties to include branch campuses, students, and community members
• Teaches courses as assigned within instructor workload guidelines. (6 credits per academic year)
• Serves as a substitute within the program for absent colleagues for short-term absences as determined by Department Chair, or Dean.
• Participates in college-wide assessment of student learning (ASL) activities and/or projects.
• Involved in recruitment opportunities: High School functions, campus events, and educational orientations and workshops.
• Develop Industry Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners to secure internship opportunities and enhance collaboration.
Additional Functions
• Works independently with little supervision or as part of a team. This is not a remote position
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and others.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with students, colleagues, and others.
• Assesses individual and department work processes and recommends improvements.
• Complies with State Fiscal Rules, State Board policies, System and College protocols, and departmental procedures.
• Obtains and maintains proficiency with required systems and equipment.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and employee information as required.
• Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline.
• Serves on committees and other groups as assigned.
This list of functions is not exhaustive, and other functions may be added at the discretion of Pueblo Community College or the employee’s supervisor. Permanently added tasks are evaluated by Human Resources for potential position reclassification and compensation adjustment.

Travel
• Colorado Community College System offices in Denver
• Fremont or Mancos, CO locations

• Various locations within the college’s service area
Schedule
• Weekdays (State business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm)
• Infrequent weekend and/or evening hours required for supporting special events
• This is not a remote position
Competencies/KSAs:
• Knowledge of laws, accreditation standards, and best practices pertaining to student advising, teaching pedagogy, and academic program administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Ellucian Banner
• Able to lift 15 pounds.
• Able to read and communicate in English.
• Mobility around campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Finance, or related fields.
Experience
• Two years of professional business and/or accounting experience.
• One year teaching in higher education.
License/Certification
• Eligible for CTE credentialing in the State of Colorado.
