Job Summary:
The Coffee Shop at RRCC is seeking friendly Baristas! This position includes handling cash, washing dishes, filling coffee and tea orders, mixing specialty drink orders, cleaning and stocking the store, and attending to store needs as they arise to maintain the highest quality of functionality. Most importantly, this position involves working with customers and promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This position reports to Alexander Gilliam. The work schedule for this position are during the semester Monday – Friday 7:00am – 11:00am & 11:00am – 3:00pm., at the Lakewood location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule.
This is a student employee position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while class is in session and up to 28 hours each week during academic breaks or breaks between terms while an RRCC student, depending on class schedule, need, and budget availability. Student employees are enrolled and contribute to a TIAA-CREF account when enrolled in less than six credits.

Required Qualifications:
For work study employment:
1. Must be an RRCC student and have been granted a work study award for the semester the student is seeking employment and maintain eligibility.
2. Must be enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours) and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for all credit hours.
For student hourly employment:
1. Must be an RRCC student and enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours).

2. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
3. Must be reliable, punctual and have a good work ethic.

5. Ability to work from campus (Lakewood campus location) and be eligible for student employment.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Hourly Pay
The compensation for this position is $18.81 to $19.31, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA non-exempt position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while class is in session and up to 28 hours each week during academic breaks or breaks between terms while an RRCC student, depending on need and budget availability. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
