Who We Are:

With three campuses along Colorado’s Front Range, FRCC is the state’s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year universities and FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition. Job Summary:

The Student Life Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Student Life & Engagement Department. This role supports departmental leadership, assists in managing campus their designated campus food pantry, coordinates day-to-day office functions across their designated campus (Boulder County Campus, Larimer Campus, or Westminster Campus), and ensures the effective execution of programs, services, and events that enhance student engagement.

Part-time hours and schedule are somewhat variable per semester and cannot exceed 28 hours per week. This position is expected to work 20 to 24 hours per week.

This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Serve as primary administrative support for the Senior Director and departmental Directors
  • Coordinate departmental calendars, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes
  • Track deadlines, deliverables, and departmental priorities; ensure timely follow-up on action items

Operations & Office Management

  • Manage day-to-day office operations across their designated campus, including student employee scheduling
  • Support purchasing processes, inventory tracking, and coordination of technology needs
  • Maintain and organize shared files, internal documentation, and communication systems

Financial & Budget Support

  • Update budgets, communicate with department leadership as needed.
  • Purchase and reallocate expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with FRCC and State budget guidelines and recommend adjustments.
  • Process purchase request forms, purchase orders, receiving reports, expense vouchers, budget transfers, contracts, membership setups/renewals, and other fiscal, purchasing, expense forms as needed.
  • Process invoices for payment and follow up as needed.

Communications & Marketing Support

  • Coordinate marketing requests and assist with departmental communications
  • Support development and distribution of basic print and digital promotional materials

Program & Event Support

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for key departmental initiatives, including:
    • Digital ID program
    • Front desk operations
    • Food pantry operations
    • Day of event support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of general clerical experience in an administrative or office support role.
