Who We Are:
Job Summary:
The Office of Student Conduct & Support helps students succeed by fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive campus community. We guide students, faculty, and staff in understanding CCD's policies and procedures, and we respond to concerns about students who may be facing personal challenges or in need of extra support. As the first point of contact, the office assistant plays a key role in welcoming visitors, administrative tasks, customer service, and managing conflicts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Office Management & Administrative Duties - Answer phones & greet office visitors; assist with record management; connect office visitors with resources; maintain confidentiality
Outreach, Education, and Activity Planning - Assist with creating & implementing activities to engage CCD members; perform outreach by tabling and/or presenting at campus events
Professional Development - Serve as a peer leader and role model for the campus community and learn critical skills related to teamwork.
Competencies/KSAs:
The ideal student in this position will be supportive and confidential when handling all matters of Care, Counseling, or Conduct cases from the initial contact in the office. The student will be passionate about helping other students succeed by providing compassion and offering resources for those in need. In addition, the student should be able to work well with others and take initiative in handling new projects or tasks. Professionalism and strong communication skills are important.
Minimum Qualifications:
CCD financial aid file must be complete for the current academic year
Be enrolled in at least 6 credits
Be in good academic standing (at least 2.0 GPA)
Upon being hired, pass a background check and complete all new hire paperwork
Preferred Qualifications:
Some customer service background is preferred
Basic technology operations

The student will become a professional in CCD's Code of Conduct & the expectations for students and will be able to effectively communicate the policies & procedures to the campus community. They will learn public speaking skills and creativity. The student will learn crisis intervention skills & be able to handle difficult situations by supporting students of all backgrounds and life situations. They will learn to be more culturally inclusive & how to manage concerns from diverse communities.
