Salary Range: The annual salary for this position is $66, 758 and may be up to 5% higher depending on relevant experience, education, and certifications when compared to others doing substantially similar work. 

Job Summary:

The Senior Information Technology Specialist assists in managing the network, server, client, and application installation, and the design and support for virtual and physical systems. The Specialist also conducts instructional services for client-side networks and technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
•Installs, configures, and maintains network hardware including routers, switches, access points, and network cables.
•Assists in monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues across multiple locations.
•Assists with network infrastructure projects, upgrades and expansions.
•Configures and manages VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing processes.
•Maintains and develops network documentation including diagrams, IP address assignments, and equipment inventories.
•Supports wireless network deployment, changes and optimization.
•Assists with network cabling projects and infrastructure installations
•Provides clients with technical support with campus networks, hardware, and software.
•Troubleshoots localized network outages.
•Maintains, adds, and changes user accounts and information.
•Coordinates the installation and maintenance of computers.
•Manages support applications such as MS office, browser software, or automation software.
•Develops instructional material to assist clients with the use of assigned equipment and network services.
•Consults with clients regarding hardware and software needs, determine project needs, and assess project outcomes.

•Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline.
•Serves on committees and other groups as assigned.

Competencies/KSAs:

•Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe products and operating systems.
•Knowledge of configuring LANs and wireless systems, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and similar protocols.
•Able to lift 25 pounds.
•Able to read, write and communicate in English.
•Mobility around campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Associate’s degree and two years of equivalent experience in a related technology field.
Experience
•Two or more years supporting PC hardware and software, including installation, troubleshooting, and analyzing problems.
•Two or more years in a mid-sized or large multi-network environment.

Travel
•Colorado Community College System offices in Denver
•Fremont or Mancos, CO locations
•Conferences within or outside of Colorado
•Various locations within the college’s service area
Schedule
•State business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
•Infrequent weekend and/or evening hours required
