Job Summary:

The Front Desk/Customer Service Assistant is the first line of interaction with students, staff, faculty, the public and other constituents for Academic Advising and Student Success Center (AASSC) in the Division of Enrollment Administration and Student Success (EASS)


This involves scheduling appointments for academic advisors in the AASSC, managing all related inquiries, serving as a referral source regarding CCD & Auraria Campus information, answering a multi-line phone system per assigned shift; when time and experience allows, to work on special administrative projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Scheduling appointments: Scheduling appointments for academic advisors and managing all related inquiries.

Answering multi-line phone system: Answering a multi-line phone system and serving as a referral source for CCD & AHEC information.

Special Projects: Working on special projects as assigned, such as data entry, filing, and creating reports.

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and handling inquiries from students, faculty, and staff.

Communication: Communicating with advisors, students, and other staff members, both verbally and in writing.

Data Entry: Entering and maintaining accurate information in various databases and systems.

Filing: Filing and organizing a variety of documents and materials.

Multi-tasking: Ability to multi-task and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Overall, the student employee in this position will play an important role in supporting the AASSC in its mission to provide academic advising, career planning, and academic progress review to students at Community College of Denver.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a current student at the Community College of Denver with a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment, in good academic standing, and awarded work-study funds
